We tried to explain, and after a few attempts, (and maybe when he realized I wasn't going to stop trying to explain, using broken Spanish and gestures) he called over a bilingual server. We told him, he told the manager (and we received the evil eye from the server who was watching from a distance) the manager said the server said she had asked if we wanted coffee (had not) then he said sorry. No offer to give us a cup of coffee on the house or anything else.So NO! I wouldn't have believed this could happen at this restaurant last week, but it happened to us. So beware. And I guess, sadly. the lesson learned is to be the ugly American who asks for the check (and is considered rude).
